Last week WHEDA or Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority announced they received funds and will start lending money again.
WHEDA is proud to offer first time homebuyers in Wisconsin a variety of low, fixed-rate mortgage products as well as access to homebuyer education and other resources. These loans are meant for first time home buyers anywhere in the state. However they have a list of counties where “”more homeownership is desired” I dont understand this? Are they saying nobody wants to live in Jefferson or Waukesha counties?

The target areas listed below have been designated by the federal government as places where more Homeownership is desired. It’s easier to qualify for a Home loan in a target area:

* Income limits are higher
* Purchase price limits are higher
* You don’t need to be a first-time home buyer
